The question everyone asks first
Should you rent it or buy it?
It depends almost entirely on how long the equipment will be needed, and that is usually knowable at the point of discharge. Pick the situation that matches yours.
Select a situation
Usually rent
Hospital cot, air mattress, wheelchair, commode
Usually buy
Rarely worth buying — the need usually ends in weeks
Most families need the room ready in a day. We deliver, assemble in place and collect when it is done.
How we work
The equipment is the easy part
Anyone can put a concentrator in a box. What decides whether therapy actually happens is the fitting, the handover and the person who answers the phone at nine on a Sunday night.
We deliver to the room, assemble in place, verify oxygen purity and therapy pressure on site, fit the mask until the seal is right, and show whoever will be operating the equipment how to use it before we leave.
Supply & delivery
Stocked in depth, so a cot, chair or concentrator can be dispatched on the day of order.
Installation
Commissioning by biomedical engineers, with performance verified before handover.
Clinical training
Device operation, mask fitting and the cleaning routine, for staff and family caregivers.
After-sales
AMC and CMC contracts, breakdown response, calibration and genuine spares.

Cylinders, regulators and interfaces
A concentrator requires mains power; a cylinder does not. Most oxygen patients keep both.
Oxygen cylinder & regulator
MS-CY series · B / D / JumboCompressed medical oxygen with regulator, contents gauge and trolley. The standard backup when power fails.
Flowmeter & humidifier
MS-FM series · 0–15 LPMCylinder-mount regulator with contents gauge, flowmeter and bubble humidifier for controlled delivery.
Humidifier bottles
MS-HB-02 · AutoclavableDry oxygen above 4 L/min irritates the nasal mucosa, so these are fitted as standard. 200 – 300 mL, anti-spill lid.
Cannulae & oxygen masks
MS-NC · MS-OM seriesNasal cannulae for low flow, plus simple, venturi, non-rebreather and aerosol masks. Adult, paediatric and infant sizes.
| Consideration | Oxygen concentrator | Oxygen cylinder |
|---|---|---|
| Best suited to | Long daily hours at home | Backup, transfer and short bursts |
| Supply limit | Unlimited while powered | Cylinder contents |
| Needs electricity | Yes | No |
| Refilling | Never | Per cylinder, on exchange |
| Running cost | Electricity only | Per refill |
Oxygen safety in the home
Every cylinder and concentrator we deliver is handed over with a written safety brief for the household. We check the room, position the equipment away from heat sources, and walk the family through storage, cylinder handling and what to do if the power fails. No smoking or open flame within 3 metres. Cylinders stay secured upright, never laid loose.
Sleep & non-invasive ventilation
CPAP & BiPAP machines
Positive airway pressure therapy for obstructive sleep apnea, COPD and chronic hypoventilation. We carry ResMed, BMC and Home Medix devices, and we hold the filters, chambers and tubing for all of them.
One steady pressure holds the upper airway open through the night. Auto models sense flow limitation and snore, then adjust within a prescribed window instead of running high all night. Range 4 to 20 cmH₂O, with integrated heated humidification.
Two separate pressures: higher on inspiration, lower on expiration. Easier to exhale against, and able to provide ventilatory support for patients who cannot tolerate CPAP. IPAP to 25 or 30 cmH₂O with adjustable backup rate.

Vital signs, aerosol therapy & airway care
Monitoring, nebulizers & suction

Compressor nebulizer
Home Medix · Piston driveDelivers a fine medicine mist for asthma, COPD and paediatric respiratory care. Compact and simple enough for daily home use.
- Particle size fine mist reaching the lower airway
- Supplied with adult mask, child mask, mouthpiece, cup, tubing
- Duty cycle continuous with thermal cut-out
- Warranty 1 year
Suction machine
MS-SU-40 · Twin jarTwin-jar electric aspirator for secretion and fluid removal. Overflow protection isolates the pump, and the vacuum regulator holds its setting under load.
- Vacuum 0.02 – 0.08 MPa, adjustable
- Flow rate ≥ 20 L/min free air
- Jars 2 × 1000 mL autoclavable with overflow float
- Models trolley-mounted or portable bench unit
Medication only works where it lands
Droplets above about 5 microns are swallowed rather than inhaled; below roughly 1 micron they are breathed straight back out. The useful window is narrow, which is why a compressor that has drifted out of specification wastes most of the dose without anyone noticing. We check nebulization rate against specification at every service visit.

A support that does not fit is a support that gets left in a drawer
Belts and braces are measured at the counter, not guessed from a size chart. Most of these are prescribed after surgery or injury, so we check the fit against the clinical note rather than only against the patient's waist. Sizes are exchanged if the fit is wrong.

Tell us what you need and we will price it properly
Send a prescription, a discharge summary or a list of requirements. You get back a configured proposal covering equipment, consumables, delivery and a rental versus purchase comparison.
Commercial terms
Rent or buy
Every product in this catalogue is available both ways. Which one is right depends almost entirely on how long the equipment will be needed, and that is usually knowable at the point of discharge.
Two ways to get the same equipment
Both options, side by side
When the need has an end date
Post-operative recovery, a fracture, a chest infection, or a hospital discharge where nobody yet knows how long care will be needed. Rental costs a fraction of purchase and ends when the need does.
- Monthly terms on cots, wheelchairs, mattresses, concentrators, CPAP and BiPAP
- Delivery, installation and collection included
- Servicing included for the whole rental period
- Deposit adjusted against purchase if the need becomes permanent
- Extendable month to month, with no fresh delivery charge
When therapy is for the long term
Sleep apnea, COPD, and any prescription expected to run for years. Beyond roughly eight to twelve months of continuous use, ownership is normally the cheaper route, and the machine is configured to one patient.
- Manufacturer warranty registered in the patient's name
- Installation and training included
- AMC and CMC contracts available from year two
- Consumables supplied on a replacement schedule
- GST invoice for insurance and institutional claims

Rarely worth buying — the need usually ends in weeks
Most families need the room ready in a day. We deliver, assemble in place and collect when it is done.

|---|---|---|
| Discharge after surgery | Cot, air mattress, wheelchair, commode | Rarely |
| Chest infection or short illness | Oxygen concentrator, nebulizer, suction | Rarely |
| Newly diagnosed sleep apnea | Trial period before deciding | CPAP or BiPAP and mask |
| Long-term oxygen therapy | Backup cylinder | Concentrator |

| Permanent mobility loss | While fitting is assessed | Wheelchair, cot, mattress |
| Ward or nursing home fit-out | To bridge a delivery gap | Monitors, suction, cots |
Our position
We will tell you when renting is the cheaper answer
A family setting up a room after a stroke is rarely in a position to work out whether they need equipment for six weeks or six years. Ask us, and we will say which we think applies — including when that means a smaller order for us. Getting it wrong in either direction costs you money.
Rates quoted on the call
Not held back until after a site visit.
Trial before purchase
Available on CPAP and BiPAP, so you know the therapy suits before you own it.
Switch from rent to purchase
At any point, with the deposit adjusted against the price.
Talk to us
Not sure which way round it is?
Tell us the diagnosis and how long the doctor expects therapy to run. We will send both options priced side by side.
Consumables & after-sales
Services, service contracts & support
Replacement intervals for every consumable in the range, and the service terms that apply to every product we supply. Delivery, installation and maintenance are handled by our own biomedical engineers, not subcontracted.
Rental, service & support
What we do, from order to after-sales
Rental & delivery
Monthly rental on cots, wheelchairs, concentrators, CPAP and BiPAP units. Delivered, installed and collected, with servicing included for the rental period.
Installation
Siting and commissioning at ward or home. Oxygen purity, flow accuracy, vacuum and therapy pressure verified on site before handover.

AMC or CMC
An AMC covers visits and labour. A CMC adds parts and consumables, which is what wards and multi-unit sites normally need.
| Cover | AMC | CMC |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduled visits | Included | Included |
| Labour on breakdown | Included | Included |
| Spare parts | Charged separately | Included |
| Consumables and filters | Charged separately | Optional add-on |
| Standby unit on critical equipment | Subject to availability | Included |
| Best suited to | Home and single-unit users | Wards and multi-unit sites |
Clinical training
Setting up an oxygen concentrator
We walk every household through this at handover, but the film is here so a family caregiver can watch it again at two in the morning without phoning anyone.
The film could not load. Download it instead, or call us on 7557554000.
Six and a half minutes, with sound. Produced by Home Medix for their concentrators, and shown here with the machines we supply.
What the film covers
- Unboxing — the manual, nebulizer kit and what else is in the carton
- Safety — run it through a stabilizer, keep it in open space, never on a carpet
- HEPA filter — where it sits and how to get at it
- Flow control knob — setting the prescribed litres per minute
- Humidifier bottle — fill to the marked range with RO or drinking water, cap tight
- Cannula — connecting the tubing to the outlet and to the patient
- Timer — long-press to set a run time
- Nebulisation — fitting the jar and mask, filling the medicine, stopping the function
Still call us if something looks wrong
A film is a reminder, not a substitute for the handover. If the purity alarm sounds, the flow will not hold, or the patient's saturation falls, ring the number on the machine rather than working through it alone.
Consumables
What gets replaced, and when
We stock consumables for every model we supply, so a filter or a cushion does not become a reason to stop therapy.
| Equipment | Item | Replacement guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Suction machine | Collection jar, lid seal, overflow float | Inspect seal monthly; replace when perished |
| Suction machine | Bacterial filter, silicone tubing, catheters | Filter per protocol; catheters single-use |
| Patient monitor | SpO₂ probe, ECG cable, NIBP cuff | Replace on damage; cuffs sized per patient |
| Pulse oximeter | Batteries, silicone finger insert | Batteries as needed; insert annually |
| CPAP & BiPAP | Filters, humidifier chamber, tubing | Held in stock for every device we supply |
| Masks | Cushions, headgear, clips | Replaced when the seal starts to leak |
Replacement guidance is indicative. Intervals confirmed against the manufacturer's instructions for the specific model at installation.
A reading is only useful if someone knows what to do with it
When we hand over an oximeter we write down the values that should prompt a call, and to whom. Families are far more likely to act early when the threshold is on paper beside the machine rather than remembered from a conversation.

What to send
The faster route to an accurate price
For oxygen
The prescribed flow in litres per minute and how many hours a day it is needed. That decides 5 LPM versus 10 LPM, and concentrator versus cylinder.
For CPAP or BiPAP
The sleep study report or the prescribed pressure range, plus whether the patient breathes through the mouth. That decides the device and the mask type.
For home setup
The discharge summary, the room the patient will be in, and the date they come home. We check doorway widths and turning space before recommending a cot or chair.
